Welcome to our Farm...
My name is Lee Resmer and with my partner Elmer Buchanan, as an
Ontario Alpaca Breeder we are lucky enough to be able to get up every morning and watch the Alpacas, Llamas, Angora goats and a pair of Chinese ducks start their mornings as we sit and enjoy our morning coffee. We literally inherited the farm. It has been in Elmer’s family since Queen Victoria granted the land to his great-grandfather...
When we moved back to the farm several years ago we were looking for livestock that we could use to revitalize the land and use the buildings but not be completely tied to a schedule. The Alpacas were the perfect answer. Other then shearing and birthing , if we need to be away for a couple of days we can have somebody do the chores for us...
The Alpacas use the land for grazing but do not hurt the pasture by pulling the grass out by the roots, because they only have one row of teeth on the bottom they are not able to yank out the grass by it's roots, and because their feet have soft pads and not hooves they leave very little marks were they walk.
Their beans also have many uses on the fields,in the garden, and on my flower beds
With a new crop of fiber every year and the general public becoming more informed about the benefits of using and buying Alpaca products the demand is always increasing. The opportunities for using Alpaca fiber and enjoying these wonderful animals is limited to your imagination...
We have added Angora goats and three Llamas and are hoping to widen our use of fiber even more. we are members of the CLAA, ARI, AO, and Llamas-Alpaca international directory. We offer
Canadian Alpacas for sale from our
Ontario Alpaca Farm.
